Would you like to better understand your horse’s behavior and body language or just want to learn more so you can better handle your horse? Helen Dionne, one of West Virginia ’s most experienced horse trainers, is hosting a Horsemanship Clinic and lunch, which will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Sunny Creek Stables located on Hacker’s Creek Road in Upshur County (near Weston and Jane Lew off of I-79).

The clinic will be customized and structured around the questions and needs personally submitted by attendees, allowing them the opportunity to have their own horse issues addressed. Helen Dionne is an experienced professional horse trainer and riding instructor who works everyday with horses. She got her first horse when she was 33, in 1968, and began barrel racing and endurance riding. A member of the West Virginia Arabian Horse Association for the past 19 years, she has had champions in all divisions.

Helen loves all horse breeds, but feels closest to Arabians, and states “Arabian horses are misunderstood and get a bad rap”. She encourages those interested in horses to come see for themselves how wonderful Arabians truly are.

Sunny Creek Stables provides boarding, private riding lessons, horse training, and Summer Day Camp for children and adults. For more information, call Helen Dionne at 304-472-5249.
